Toran food court at Fedra, is located on the way to Bhavnagar from Ahmedabad. The design of the food court represents perpetual motion of the people, vehicles and life in the form of rising linear rectangular elements which seems to move forward. The entrance of the food court provides a pause element in this continuous movement and invites travelers to take a break and relax in the its spacious interiors. The dining hall is double height with leaf shaped tubular frames spanning on top. The mezzanine floor is approached from two internal staircases for richer and private experience. The high end HVAC system with ball diffusers above mezzanine provide cool comfort for the visitors. The food court has a central court yard which is open to sky to provide natural light both to the hall and to the kitchen on the other side. The kitchen is see through with all activities visible thorough large glass opening between the dining area. There are conference facilities and shops for branded outlets for quick snacks. A large entrance platform is provided along the full length of the food court for serving the visitors outside during evenings. A garden restaurant depicting cultural theme of Gujarat, is provided in the open area on the side. In front large area is provided for parking with landscaping. Children play area is provided keeping their safety in mind. The approach to the food court campus is from the junction of the highway, where it splits towards Bhavnagar and Amreli. The Guest house is provided on the left side with 30 rooms and common facilities. Toilet facilities for passengers are provided between the entrance gate and the main building with sunlit interiors and ample light and ventilation.
